Singular phenomena in nonlinear elliptic equations

Abstract
We review some recent results on the following topics:
(i) blow-up boundary solutions for the logistic equation;
(ii) Lane-Emden equations with singular nonlinearity.
We study the combined effects of the nonlinear terms, variable potentials, gradient terms, and real parameters.
We are mainly interested in existence and non-existence results, as well as in the asymptotic study of solutions or in various perturbation effects.
