Psychology of the Arts and Environments
The Psychology and Art Research Unit conducts research and action-research interventions regarding the following topics:
- Psychological relationship between artist-artwork-observer in the creation of the artistic phenomenon.
- The development of the cognitive comprehension of artistic phenomenon in children and adults.
- Expressive and artistic activities in atypical contexts: hospital units, psychiatric workshops...
- Artist's personality and lifestyle.
- Synaesthesia and aesthetic sensibility.
- Children's iconic metaphor recognition.
- Optimal experience (Flow) in expositive contexts (museums, Art galleries…).
- Psychological aspects of living in urban and rural areas.
