Abstract : Personalised prevention approaches stand at the forefront of precision medicine, yet their implementation into clinical practice faces numerous challenges. These hurdles include the difficulty in producing robust evidence on their clinical utility and cost-effectiveness, health systems preparedness, healthcare professionals' education, ethical, legal, and social issues, citizen literacy, and major investments in technical infrastructure and workforce training. The aim of EXPOSES is to train a new generation of health professionals in personalised prevention Europe, China and USA, thanks to 87 secondments in 4 years. The staff will attend courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and will participate in organizing outreach activities, thus acquiring new skills. They will produce policy recommendations, scientific publications, and key reports, thus fostering public-private interactions. In the long run, the implementation of a multidisciplinary program that include institutions from EU, China and USA will contribute to an advancement of personalized prevention policies and strategies among the 3 continents. EXPOSES includes 13 beneficiaries and 3 Associated partners from 9 EU Countries, 1 Associated Country and 3 Third Countries (China and USA). 10 are academics and 6 non- academics of which 3 are SMEs. Research topics include advancing Health Technology Assessment and Health Impact Assessment evaluations for facilitating the implementation of personalised prevention approaches, policy considerations in personalised prevention, Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), and a pilot study on genetic risk profiles for personalised breast cancer prevention in diverse populations. The work also covers evidence synthesis and research methodology to strengthen the scientific basis of personalised prevention. EXPOSES is embedded in existing cooperation structures, such as PROPHET, EU partnerships on Transforming Health and Care systems, and related Joint Actions.
