Honorary degree to Wolfgang Brezinka

The Faculty of Education, in its meeting of 11 April 2011, unanimously resolved, on the proposal of the Department of Pedagogy, to confer prof. Wolfgang Brezinka with an honorary degree in Pedagogical Sciences. The ceremony took place on May 12, 2014, in Aula PioXI.

Brezinka is the most important German-speaking Catholic pedagogist today, considered by many to be the leading living theorist of pedagogy. He is internationally recognized as the author of classical texts. He has published 20 volumes and numerous essays, translated into 15 languages. Overall, he is the author of about 250 works, including volumes, essays, articles, reviews. He has held countless conferences and lectures (about 600) in Europe, Africa, South America, Japan, Australia.
