Ph.D. - Pedagogy/Education

The doctoral course in "Personal and Educational Sciences" in Pedagogy/Education aimsto prepare students for scientific research in the various fields of pedagogical knowledge, divided into the following scientific-disciplinary sectors:

(a) General and social pedagogy

b) the field of history, pedagogy and education

c) special education and pedagogy sector

d) field of experimental pedagogy

The research lines specifically concern: theoretical and epistemological issues related to the philosophy of education and pedagogical anthropology; retrospective investigations into the historical evolution of educational practices and institutions; the pedagogical issues emerging from social transformations, their impact on the different ages of life and in the different contexts of education and training; teaching strategies and educational challenges related to media and technology development; methods and tools for the inclusion of marginalised people or those with special educational needs; experimental research methodologies for the design and evaluation of educational and training policies and interventions.
