• Health Service Research, Health Policy, Governance and Leadership (Value-based healthcare and governance of health systems and services, Health Management and organizational innovation in healthcare, Health technology Assessment, Quality of healthcare, Monitoring of clinical-care pathways)
• Environmental surveillance and infection control (Food safety, Hospital hygiene, Prevention of nosocomial infections and infectious risk in healthcare workers)
• Support for the definition of health policies in the field of personalized medicine/prevention at national and European level
• Planetary health and research on environment and health
• Vaccine hesitancy and vaccination strategies
• Epidemiology and prevention of chronic diseases (cancer and cardiovascular diseases in particular)
• Meta-research (research on how research is conducted and interpreted)
