Abstract: The CURTAIN project aims to reduce cancer-related inequalities across Europe by improving health literacy in cancer at multiple levels: among citizens, patients, health professionals and organisations. CURTAIN will develop the first specific tool for cancer literacy in seven countries, to support information campaigns. The project will also strengthen patients' skills in managing treatment pathways and oncology technologies, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups. Training courses will be developed for health professionals, including doctors and nurses, and Oncological Literacy Ambassadors will be selected to improve communication between operators and patients.
