Abstract: Healthcare, research and innovation in the field of cancer currently suffer from fragmented initiatives and a lack of communication with key stakeholders. Recognizing the need for coordinated solutions, both the Horizon Europe Oncology Mission Implementation Plan and the European Plan to Fight Cancer underline this aspect.

The EU-funded ECHoS project is dedicated to harmonising cancer research and health efforts with decision-making. This objective will be achieved through the creation of cross-border communication and collaboration networks aligned with the objectives of the Oncology Mission. The main objective of the project is to establish National Hubs for the Oncology Mission in Member States and associated countries, which will facilitate collaboration between stakeholders and citizens in policy dialogues. The project aims to promote more resilient and patient-centred health and research systems.
