Abstract: 4P-CAN aims to address the main modifiable risk factors for cancer, including smoking, alcohol consumption, low physical activity, being overweight, preventable infections and environmental pollution, such as radon. By analyzing barriers to policy implementation and individual adherence to healthy behaviors, 4P-CAN aims to improve primary prevention activities and reduce inequalities in Eastern European countries. Thanks to the collaboration of 17 organizations from 11 countries, including EU Member States and non-EU Balkan countries, as well as Western European countries, 4P-CAN is dedicated to achieving these goals and promoting a healthier future. Mission: To evaluate existing legislation and policies related to risk factors such as tobacco, alcohol and vaccinations in different countries. This analysis will provide insights into the effectiveness of current prevention measures.

To develop a 4P-CANcer algorithm, along with the results of personal network analysis, to identify individuals at high risk of developing cancer. The algorithm will be tailored at national level and will take into account the cultural context of Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.

Establish two Living Labs for the primary prevention of cancer, with the aim of innovating prevention measures through a co-creation process involving citizens and all relevant stakeholders.

Support decision-making: The 4P-CANcer risk algorithm will not only benefit citizens but also serve as a tool for local decision-makers and practitioners. It will enable them to apply more personalized approaches in cancer prevention strategies.

Develop recommendations for policymakers on the integration of social innovations to tackle inequalities related to risk factors. These recommendations will aim to improve existing policies and practices, to promote a more inclusive and effective preventive approach.

Develop and carry out communication campaigns aimed at people's attitudes, perceptions and behaviors in relation to risk factors. The campaigns will be personalized based on the measurement of these factors and will involve stakeholders and influencers identified during the analysis.
