Qur'anic Linguistic Research Group
Inaugural International Conference
Swansea University
14–15 marzo 2023
Interviene:
Antonio Cuciniello, Allah v Rabb on the Mouth of the Qur’anic Prophets (14.iii, h 15.00)
QLG is a group of scholars interested and collaborating in researching the Qurʾān as a text whose characteristics are explicable within the frameworks of contemporary linguistic theories.
QLG researchers do not deny the value or validity of other perspectives within Qurʾānic studies, e.g., literary and rhetorical analysis, historical and source-critical analysis, reception-based or classical ʿulūm al-Qurʾān approaches. However, their linguistic approach brings into these scholarly debates linguistic theories which investigate the principles of how text language is formed and understood, thus exploring new ways of understanding the Qurʾānic text as a piece of linguistic communication. As such, QLG’s domain is highly interdisciplinary.
La conferenza può essere seguita online sulla piattaforma Zoom, dalle 9.00 alle 18.00. Il collegamente sarà attivo al seguente link:
